Barstow Christian School

History
Barstow Christian School began in the fall of 1963, as a small preschool ministry. It experienced immediate growth and parents soon requested that a kindergarten program be added. Over the years, the school has continued to grow, accommodating grades Pre-K through 8th, and recently celebrated it's 40th year!

Philosophy and Purpose
As a ministry of the Barstow Free Methodist Church, the school exists to honor the Lord by meeting the academic, spiritual and social needs of our students and by teaching from an integrated Biblical perspective. We desire to meet each child's needs holistically--therefore we provide a positive educational program and a safe, loving enviornment to which parents can entrust their children. Our goal is to preprare students for the intellectual, social, spiritual and moral changes of the 21st century.

Institutional Status
Non-Sectarian: The school is operated from an interdenominational, non-sectarian perspective. We therefore structure our teaching to emphasize the core doctrines of the Bible, consistent with historical, evangelical Christianity while avoiding non-essential beliefs espoused by various denominations.
